This Valentine’s Day Printable for kids is my *favorite* Valentine’s Day gift to have my kids give their dad.
Every year, I struggle with what to do for my husband for Valentine’s Day.
This Valentine’s Day printable is fast, easy, and cute– something that checks all the right boxes for a holiday activity with kids.
Why this style of Valentine’s Day Printable for kids is my favorite:
I do a lot of fill-in-the-blank-style printables with my kids because they’re simple and sincere. Kids say the most hilarious things, so sometimes you’ll get a real gem when your kid fills them out.
(If you’re interested, I have a similar, longer Father’s Day Questionnaire Printable for Kids here).
For this reason, I try to provide minimal guidance (if any) in their answers. For my kids that are old enough to read and write on their own, I hand them the Valentine’s Day printable and let them go.
Once the holiday is over, I like to save the printables so I can look at them from year-to-year for each kid and see how their answers have changed. You can laminate them (this is the super easy laminator I have and love) or just put them in page-protectors in a binder.
*If you’re short on space or having excess stuff around bothers you, you could also just snap a picture and toss them after a few months.
Can you do this Valentine’s Day printable with your kid even if they can’t read or write?
For my kids that can’t read or write legibly, I help out, but I change nothing. If one of my kids tells me he loves Daddy because he is a dragon, then that’s the answer that goes on the sheet. Some of the craziest, nonsense answers end up being our favorite a few years down the line.
For kids that are too young to really participate (babies or young toddlers), or kids who have special needs, you can always answer on their behalf. Even better, if they have older siblings, let the siblings answer for your littlest one(s).
Some of my favorite answers on my kids’ printables have come about this way, because young-ish kids are brutally honest and hilarious!
